Teacher's Choice Program
As in previous years, your teachers and other eligible staff will have the opportunity to purchase instructional materials and supplies for use in their classrooms through the Teacher's Choice Program. Eligible staff can make purchases through January 12. To view the titles of teachers and staff who are eligible for the program, and for specific allocation levels for the 2019–20 school year, see the educators’ eligibility requirements. As noted in the educators’ eligibility requirements, high school assistant principals who teach at least one class, certain full-time substitute clinicians, and secretaries are also eligible for these funds and must submit required certification forms by October 11, using the High School Assistant Principal Certification Form or Full-Time Substitute Certification Form as appropriate.
In addition, any staff members who do not want to participate in the Teacher’s Choice Program should complete and submit this Request for Non-Participation (Opt-Out Form) by October 18. For other significant program dates, see these Key Dates for the 2019–20 school year. As a reminder, teachers should retain all receipts and hand them in during the scheduled due dates (between December 2, 2019–January 17, 2020), to avoid payroll deductions in June.
For updated program guidelines, as well as related forms and documents, see the Teacher's Choice InfoHub page. For questions, email email@example.com or call 718-935-4000.
