Valerie Garcia 10/22 Revised Guidance for Chancellor's Regulations A-750 and A-210Please note that Chancellor’s Regulations A-750 (re-named Child Abuse and Maltreatment Prevention), and Chancellor’s Regulation A-210 (re-named Attendance Standards), have recently been revised. You should review the updated regulations and ensure that your follow these policies and procedures:
CR A-750: Directs all school personnel to report suspected child abuse and maltreatment and contains the policies and procedures for making reports, including procedures for photographing visible signs of injury in connection with such reports. It also includes requirements for escalating concerns regarding the absence of students under child welfare administration. For a summary of all the changes in the regulation, see here. CR A-210: Sets forth expectations for school attendance programs and establishes standards for school attendance management, reporting, outreach and services, and follow-up procedures. NYS Regents Scoring Per-Session OpportunitiesPer-Session Opportunities for School Staff: Note that Algebra I, Algebra II, Chemistry, Earth Science, English Language Arts (ELA), Global History, Living Environment, Physics, and US History will be scored partially or fully through per-session opportunities that will be centrally funded and managed. Teachers and supervisors may apply for per-session positions at Regents scoring sites from October 9 until November 10.
