Per-Session Scoring for NYS Grades 3-8 ELA and MathThe NYS grades 3–8 ELA and math exams will be administered on April 2–3 and May 1–2, respectively. In preparation for these exams, you should review the following information on per-session and site management team selection:
Per-Session Opportunities: You, your APs, or staff who are interested in applying for per-session positions for scoring NYS grades 3–8 ELA and math exams, should review the DHR postings (VC#1452–1464), and apply via the scoring application portal by March 6. Site Management Team Selection: Your performance and assessment lead (PAL) will contact you in the next several weeks if a teacher or administrator from your school has been nominated to serve in a site management team (SMT) role (i.e., content trainer, organizational team lead, or ATS specialist) at an ELA scoring site. Your PAL will ask you to confirm the nominee’s qualifications and availability for training and scoring dates. In addition, if you would like to nominate a staff member to serve in a SMT role at an ELA scoring site, you should contact your PAL by February 28, to discuss the position requirements and the candidate’s qualifications. Note that if a staff member from your school is selected for a leadership position, your school will receive a “2-for-1” credit towards your total day-scorer requirement for the corresponding exam subject. Note that the application portal for leadership and scorer roles is now available; teachers and administrators can access the scoring application portal using their DOE Outlook credentials. |
