Distribution of W-2 Wage and Tax Statements will take place during the week of January 28. In order to ensure that W-2 statements for teachers, guidance counselors, and social workers in the Absent Teacher Reserve are sent to the correct assignment location, Teacher Hiring Support will not honor any assignment requests that are made for January 28 - February 8. Note that W-2 distribution locations will be included in the weekly assignment notification emailed to ATRs on January 24.

Make-up of Instructional Days Lost As a Result of Hurricane Sandy
In order to make up instructional days lost as a result of Hurricane Sandy, the last three days of February Recess, February 20, 21, and 22 will be full instructional days, and June 4 will also be a full day of instruction; access revised 2012-13 Student Attendance and School Year calendars. For information regarding the implementation of this agreement for school-based staff, review this memorandum.
It is expected that you are present in your assigned classroom(s) from the beginning of the period until the end of the period. Especially if you are pushing-in with a fellow colleague to offer services, you may not leave the classroom to tend to other matters. It is your professional responsibilty and obligation to the students that take precedence.
Personal matters, and/or school related matters that you feel supersede your assignment can wait until your prep and/or lunch.
It has been brought to my attention that some of you have been showing up late, and/or leaving early from your assignment(s). This is unacceptable, and if it continues may lead to disciplinary action, and/or adjustments of your attendance record.
The State Health Department has declared a public health emergency due to the severity of this year’s flu season. For common-sense steps to reduce illness, see this letter.

ARIS and ARIS Parent Link Updates
The New York State Education Department (NYSED) will offer new online data tools to educators and families throughout the state as part of its Race to the Top commitment. Similar to what ARIS currently offers, these tools will display data dashboards that include student enrollment, demographic, and performance data. Over time, additional data and functionality will become available.
See this FAQ for answers to questions about ARIS and the availability of these new tools. For other questions, contact your network accountability point.
