Please be aware that the deadline for scoring the baseline exams administered last week is Friday February 8. The window has also been exteneded so students who did not take the exams can make them up. Any questions can be directed to either Mr. Schaudt or AP Nicolopoulos.
Grant opportunities are posted on the Grants website (you can visit the page on any computer using this link). This week’s highlights include:
§ Captain Planet

New Agency Rollout
We will be having the new “Agency” (old Advocacy) roll-out on Tuesday, February 5th in Ms. Valdez’s room from 3:11 to 3:48 pm. Thanks!
Students with IEP and/or 504
As you know students with IEP's are mandated to receive testing accommodations as listed on their IEP's. In addition to their accommodations received on their state and standardized exams, students should also receive their accommodations during unit exams, quizzes and assessments. If you currently team teach, accommodations should be made available through use of the special education professional. Most students should be given time and a half for exams. If a student finishes prior to use of his or her extended time this is ok. If a students needs additional time it should be coordinated with the team teacher, SETSS teacher or Mr. Berkowitz. IEP's can be found on skedula attached to the student profile or on SESIS. Any other questions regarding testing accommodations please email or contact Mr. Berkowitz.
Support for Research Requests
Schools often receive requests from researchers for access to classrooms or data for research purposes. You should be aware that schools are never required to participate in optional requests for research and note that the NYCDOE can assist you when handling requests from researchers. This FAQ includes information about the NYCDOE’s policies and procedures regarding research in our schools.

Note that W-2 distribution locations were included in the weekly assignment notification emailed to ATRs on January 24.
