Common Core Curriculum Professional Development Summer SessionsThis summer, the NYCDOE is offering professional development sessions for schools who are using the following Common Core Curriculum programs: HMH, ReadyGen, Go Math!, Code X, and CMP3. Sessions will be held from 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. from July 6 through August 28, and registration will close two business days before the start date of each session. For more information, including session content, session schedules, and registration links, see here. Please share this information with your staff and note that educators who participated in a previous Common Core Curriculum PD session will also receive an email with registration information from curriculumpd@schools.nyc.gov this week. You, your assistant principal(s), and any coaches who may be interested in these sessions are also welcome to attend.
In addition, please note that funding to support this professional development is available through School Allocation Memorandum (SAM) No. 38; view the following vacancy circulars (VC) that cover participation in Common Core Curriculum professional development for teachers (VC#577R) and supervisors (VC#576R). Note that you may use these funds to pay for staff to receive professional development on Common Core Curriculum materials throughout the school year and/or to reimburse staff who receives training between July and August 2015. For questions, email curriculumpd@schools.nyc.gov. |
